Surfactants and detergents are widely used in a range of consumer products. In order to find the right surfactant and to develop new formulations it is very crucial to know the properties as critical micelle concentration (CMC) and surface activity profile.

Why select Delta-8?

Delta-8 allows you to measure surface activity profiles of compounds with unprecedented rate. Delta-8 uses standard 96-format plates, hence adaptation of liquid handling systems is easy. The volume per well is 50 microliters, which allows very low sample consumption in the surface activity profiling.

The measurement time for one 96-well plate is less than 2 minutes. Consequently, when connected to a liquid handling robot, surface activity profiles of up to 1600 compounds can be measured in an 8-hour working day.

Delta-8 is a fully computer controlled, automated instrument. The Probe Cleaning Unit (PCU) automatically cleans the probes before each measurement by heating.
